ADMISSIONS ARRANGEMENTS

Joining our School in Reception

A child becomes eligible to join a Reception class if he or she is to turn five during the academic year 1st September to 31st August.
Places for Reception classes for all Lancashire Schools are allocated by the LA.

Admission information is available from Our Lady of Lourdes from September in the year before your child is due to attend. There are statutory rules, guidelines and deadlines for the application process – we are happy to explain and help in any way we can.

Children who are successful in gaining a place with us will be able to visit and see us in June prior to their September start. It is expected that all children will begin school together in September.

In Other Year Groups

In the first instance, please contact the school office and check the availability of a place. If a place is available, we request that you complete our application form and then arrange to meet with the Headteacher so that you can visit the school and ensure that our school is right for you and your child. If a year group is full, admissions are only possible following a successful appeal hearing arranged by the LA.

If you would like further information or just a chat please contact the school office and come and see us!

Appeals Information

Following a decision about a school place, you may wish to make an appeal. The procedure is outlined in the attached link to our Local Authority and an e-form will need to be completed and submitted.
